Description
English: DJIBOUTI (April 2, 2010) Lt. Jay Kersten, a chaplain from Ann Arbor, Mich., assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU), holds up a wooden cross to symbolize the cross that Jesus was crucified on as the Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4) celebrate Roman Catholic Mass in the ship's forecastle during Holy Week. Nassau is the command platform for the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
