Description

Ficus sur le lieu de culte dans le parc de la Résidence

Dans le parc de la Résidence du gouverneur, se trouvent de très grands arbres anciens (Ficus, Baobab..) autour desquels se trouvent des sépultures anciennes. Les mahorais en ont fait un lieu de culte où sont présents des esprits ou "djinns".

Ce culte d'origine animiste, intégré à l'Islam soufi, est hérité de l'appartenance africaine et malgache des populations des Comores.

Les ziara, lieux de culte souvent situés sur des sites d’ancien habitat, de mosquée ou de tombeaux, sont liés à la fois au patrimoine archéologique et au patrimoine immatériel car ils sont réputés abriter des esprits auxquels on adresse des demandes par des rituels
