Summary
[edit]DescriptionUnited Airlines - N787UA - Flickr - skinnylawyer.jpg |
This plane went straight from the maintenance bay to the runway, presumably to be ferried to a nearby airport, most likely San Francisco. I've never seen a 777 do such a short takeoff roll and climb like a rocket. I've never flown on this particular airframe, though I've seen it many times, here at LAX as well as in San Francisco and London. This aircraft was initially an XI in United parlance, indicating a 777-200ER with three classes of service but without crew rest lobe, for routes up to about 5000 miles long. But the Suite Dreams project not only put in new seats but a crew rest lobe as well, turning it into an XQ and making it capable of longer routes. N787UA, Boeing 777-200ER (XQ) |
