A plant covered in blue flowers shaped like bells. Some are still buds and look more purple.

Unknown if this species is Mertensia oblongifolia or Mertensia viridis. It can be seen along the Nature Trail in large quantities and also in smaller numbers along the dryer and sunnier Historic Quarry Trail. Its peak season is May.
