Suomi: VR:n vanhat makasiinit Helsingin keskustassa viikkoa ennen tulipaloa. Kuvassa pohjoissiiven pääty, jossa on kahvilan ja baarin mainoskyltti. Siitä oikealle näkyy siipien välissä oleva katosrakennus ja sen takaa pilkottaa vähän eteläsiipeä. Äärimmäisenä oikealla kohoaa modernin taiteen museo Kiasma. Etualalla näkyvä kaide erottaa alueen Mannerheimintiestä. Makasiinit rakennettiin 1899, ja vapautuivat vuokralaisten käyttöön, kun VR siirsi tavaraliikenteensä Pasilaan vuonna 1988. Keväällä 2006 ne odottivat purkamistaan.
English: The old warehouses in the city center only a week before the massive fire took place. However, they were already waiting to be demolished and replaced by the Music Centre. |
