Čeština: Václav Švéda (* 26. dubna 1921 Pivín – 2. května 1955 Praha) byl protikomunistický odbojář, jeden z pěti členů skupiny bratří Mašínů. Václav Švéda byl při útěku na Západ v roce 1953 postřelen u Waldova a jeho zranění (rozdrcená kost v předloktí a silné krvácení) mu nedovolovalo v útěku pokračovat. Byl zatčen příslušníky německé Volkspolizei, následně byl předán do Československa, kde byl 1. února 1955 se Zbyňkem Janatou odsouzen k trestu smrti. Civilní foto neznámého autora pořízené před rokem 1953.
English: Václav Švéda (* 26 April 1921 in Pivín - 2 May 1955 in Prague) was an anti-communist resistance fighter, one of the five members of the Mašín brothers' group. During his escape to the West in 1953, Václav Švéda was shot near Waldov and his wound (a broken bone in his forearm and heavy bleeding) did not allow him to continue his escape. He was arrested by members of the German Volkspolizei, then handed over to Czechoslovakia, where he was sentenced to death on 1 February 1955 with Zbyněk Janata.
