Deutsch: Schematische Ansicht Valles Marineris, Mars
Vergleich des Valles Marineris mit der grössten Bildung auf der Erde. Die kleine Kerbe in der Mitte des Querschnitts des Mars-Grabensystems ist der Grand Canyon in Arizona (USA). Zu beachten ist, dass der vertikale Maßstab viermal so groß gewählt wurde (Überhöhung), wie der horizontale.
