Notes 2 pairs of ties. With ms. waste.on cover. Macchi states; see A Hobson, Humanists, p. 239, n.95Aa. With portrait medallions of John Frederick, Duke of Saxony and King Ferdinand of Hungary. Antiquariat Konrad Meuschel catalogue 2003 included another example on an 1594 text. The portraits are medals specially struck to celebrate the appointment and succession of the rulers.
