Description
Nederlands: Catalogusgegevens: Verwulft, zuidzijde; ziende naar het oosten, tijdens de demping van het Verwulft en de Oude Gracht. De panden aan de zuidzijde zijn gesloopt ca. 1930 voor de bouw van Vroom & Dreesmann. Fotograaf: Munnich & Ermerins, uitgever: L. Slotemaker. albuminedruk. zie ook: Deugd boven geweld, 1995, ill.13.10 De grachten veranderden gaandeweg in open riolen. Uit hygiënische overwegingen èn om de verkeersdoorstroming te bevorderen, verdwenen heel wat karakteristieke grachten. In 1859 werd de Oude Gracht gedempt. Herkomst: onbekend. De foto is gepubliceerd in 2002 op de website www.earlyphotography.nl door het Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam. Andere exemplaren: 54-001892 en 54-018376 Identificatienummer 54-022640
