Description
English: Pendant featuring a double-tailed mermaid, Austro-Hungarian Empire, 1850-1900. The mermaid's torso is a pink tourmaline. Enamelled gold, Diamonds, rubies, baroque pearls. It's a copy of a jewel exhibited in the Grünes Gewölbe ( Green Vault ) in Dresden. Victoria and Albert Museum, no. M.248-1975. ( Rooms 91-92. Photographs in these rooms are now allowed.)
