Description
Deutsch: Die Villa Gutmann in Baden bei Wien, Helenenstraße 72-76 (Ansicht von der rechten Seite) wurde 1882 von Alexander Wielemans von Monteforte und Hugo Zimmermann (1849–1924) als Sommervilla „nach den Formen der deutschen Renaissance des Mittelalters“ [1] für Wilhelm von Gutmann errichtet. Sie war bis zum Anschluss im Besitz von Rudolf Ritter von Gutmann. [2]. Die arisierte „Villa Gutmann“ war 1944 als Max Merz und Elizabeth Duncan dort wohnten, im Besitz des "Reichsgau Niederdonau". Die abgebildete Ansicht hat den Nachteil, dass die charakteristische Front sowie der auf der linken Hausseite befindliche Erker und Turm nicht zu sehen ist.
