Summary[edit]

Description
English: Villiaumite
Locality: Poudrette quarry (De-Mix quarry; Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Carrière Mont Saint-Hilaire; MSH), Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
FOV 4.3 x 6.2 mm
Via Tony Gordian. Some edges are rounded but I think these are genuine xls – as opposed to cleavage planes soaked in water. If you can fuse stereo images, the child photo will provide a clearer view of the xls. The cavity is actually fairly deep. The (overexposed) white stuff is probably thermonatrite, but it may be "post-mining". Dec 2016: Added a stereo pair showing a larger and sharper crystal on the specimen
Deutsch: Villiaumit (Sichtfeld 4,3 x 6,2 mm)
Fundort: Steinbruch Poudrette, Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Kanada
