Description
Français : Avec un seul gramme d'un catalyseur développé dans son laboratoire, les industriels parviennent à produire des centaines de tonnes de matières plastiques. Aujourd'hui, il travaille avec son équipe à la synthèse d'écomatériaux selon des processus durables, non toxiques et respectueux de l'environnement.

Professeur à l'université de Rennes 1 dont il dirige l'école doctorale Sciences de la matière, J.-F. Carpentier est responsable de l'équipe "Organométalliques : matériaux et catalyse" à l'Institut des sciences chimiques de Rennes*.

Il reçoit en 2014 la médaille d'argent du CNRS, qui distingue un chercheur pour l'originalité, la qualité et l'importance de ses travaux, reconnus sur le plan national et international.
