Summary

[edit]
Description This hoverfly is a very convincing bumblebee mimic. It comes in 2 colourways, each considered a distinct variety or subspecies. Photographed in my garden in Ipswich on 27 June 2019. I actually thought this fly was a bumblebee and decided to photograph it to get a better look at the white mark on its side. I still don't know what that it is.
