Часть внутреннего пространства шотландского замка с двумя, поддерживающими свод колоннами композитного ордера. На первом плане в центре верхняя часть фуста колонны, над капителью висит щит с рельефным изображением человеческих фигур, заржавленный меч на цепи, шлем на фоне драпировок, орнаментированных геральдикой шотландского герба. Над шлемом ветви с дубовыми и лавровыми листьями, шотландская арфа. На втором плане слева в полумраке колонна. Между колоннами парит черный ворон, касающийся крылом щита. На заднем плане - за колоннами оконный проем в виде стрельчатой арки с вертикальной решеткой. Через окно видно бледно-желтое небо с облаком, освещенным закатом солнца.
