English: Wall Pocket, 18th century
Description
English: Wall pocket with two pockets and a rounded top. Made from coral-colored silk taffeta, embroidered in gold and silver threads. The lower pocket has a house surrounded by flowering vines. The upper pocket shows a cardinal's hat with flowering vines. At the top, a bishop's mitre with a red stone inset, and crossed croziers. Trimmed with gold fringe and gold lace. Pockets lined with blue silk. Backed with leather.
