Title
English: Washington Hotel, with regrade activities in foreground, looking northwest from about 1st Ave. and Pike St., Seattle.
Description
English: *Subjects (LCTGM): Hotels--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Denny Regrade (Seattle, Wash.) ; Grading (Earthwork)--Washington (State)--Seattle ; Washington Hotel (Seattle, Wash.)

"from about 1st Ave" seems unlikely. The street here is Second Avenue. Compare File:2nd Ave, Seattle, showing regrade, 1906 (CURTIS 7).jpeg from a year or two later when the Eitel Building and the People's Savings Bank building had been constructed, but the Washington Hotel was still standing. Pretty nearly the same point of view.
