| Description | A plaque for the Annapolis National Historic District on the Water Witch Hook-&-Ladder Fire hosue. Located at 33 East Street, is the oldest standing firehouse today in the historic city of Annapolis. The building was constructed in 1913 in a unique Italianate-style and it is the second firehouse built on this same site following an earlier one that was built in 1885. The firehouse closed in 1986 and the Water Witch Hook-&-Ladder relocated to the newer Annapolis firehouse at 620 Taylor Avenue. |
