     WEBB
       PIERCE'S
〝SILVER DOLLAR″
  CONVERTIBLE[1]
Honky-tonk singer Webb Pierce paid $20,000 to
have this 1962 Pontiac Bonneville customized by
Nudie. Among its many outlandish features, note
the horseshoes on the gas and brake pedals, and
the ornamental handguns mounted on the hood
and elsewhere. The original custom job included
more than a thousand silver dollars inlaid in the
upholstery; in 1978, Pierce replaced most of the
silver pieces with alloy coins.
