[edit]DescriptionWhen Clubs are Trump (Hal Roach – 1917).webm |
English: Before his famous straw hat and round glasses character Harold Lloyd made shorts as Lonesome Luke. Luke was an opposite Chaplin. Wearing his typical tight pants, small shoes, waist coat and hat Luke became successful with the public but its creator was uncomfortable being a Chaplin caricature, so he created a new character wearing those glasses and becoming the boy next door that really made it. Harold was befriended with producer Hal Roach, who started producing films in 1915 with him as the star performer. |
