a deer with a long fluffy tail

Wind Cave is home to both white-tailed deer and mule deer. White-tailed deer are less common and more skittish. These deer can be identified by their smaller ears and long, fluffy tails which are brown above and white below. When alarmed, white-tailed deer will raise their tails to reveal the white underside.
