English: The upper part of bog body Windeby I a 16 year old boy on display at Archäologisches Landesmuseum Gottorf Castle, Schleswig Germany. Found in 1952 in the Domslandmoor near the village Windeby in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. C14 dated beween 41 and 118 AD. The textile band around the head is a modern replacement for the sprang band presently not on display that time.
Deutsch: Oberkörper der Moorleiche Windeby I, einem 16 jährigen Jungen, in der Dauerausstellung des Archäologischen Landesmuseums Schloss Gottorf, Schleswig, Deutschland. Gefunden 1952 im Domslandmoor bei der Ortschaft Windeby in Schleswig-Holstein. C14-Datiert zwischen 41 und 118 nach Chr. Die Binde um den Kopf ist ein Platzhalter für das Sprangband, das zur Zeit nicht in der Ausstellung war. |
