Description
Deutsch: Stadtseite des Gröpertores in Wittstock/Dosse (Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin, Brandenburg). Das Gröpertor ist das einzige erhaltene Tor in der mittelalterlichen Wehranlage. Es liegt an der Nordseite der Stadt und schützte die Ausfahrt in Richtung Mecklenburg. Es wurde im 14. Jh. erbaut und 1503 erhöht und mit einem Pyramidendach versehen. Einst war es durch ein Vortor, Wälle und drei Gräben verstärkt. Ehemals gab es drei Tore in Wittstock.
