Vervaardiging Vervaardiger: anoniem Plaats vervaardiging: Nederland Datering: ca. 1650 - voor 1724 Materiaal: zilver Techniek: gieten / stempelen Afmetingen: g 1950 gr × l 14 cm. × b 3,5 cm. × h 3,5 cm. Toelichting Het VOC-schip 'Slot ter Hooghe' verging in 1724 bij het eiland Porto Santo in de baai van Porto Guilhermo, Madeira. 33 Van de 254 opvarenden overleefden de ramp. Het schip had o.a. 100 baren zilver aan boord, bestemd voor Azië. Een deel van de kist waarin de baren vervoerd werden, is teruggevonden met duidelijke indrukken van de baren.
