Wrong file name, wrong categories[edit]

This graphic illustrates character U+2BCD8 𫳘 (radical 40+8 strokes; CJK Unified Ideographs Extension E) rather than U+21982 𡦂 (39+9; CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B). It should be renamed and recategorized. However it is used on a number of pages in several projects, and I am unsure of the impact this has, so I'm doing nothing at this point.

@Yug: It seems this file is on your "Stroke order" subpage as well as the corresponding talk page. Could you effect the necessary changes, or further discuss how to proceed? Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 04:24, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@LiliCharlie: just rename it, there is are some script process which edit-update all the usages within wikimedia websites. Then we ask the {speedy} deletion of the redirect page.
Can you lead that renaming ? I just reinstalled Ubuntu and I don't have full CJK(V) support at the moment. I see rectangles 𡦂/𡦂 in place of those Vietnamese characters. Yug (talk) 10:27, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Yug: I am now a filemover. When I tried to rename this file to File:𫳘-order.gif I got the following message:
Error while moving the page.
A detailed description of the error is shown below:
API request failed (titleblacklist-custom-hidden-char): ⧼titleblacklist-custom-hidden-char⧽ at Fri, 10 Dec 2021 10:26:17 GMT served by mw1412
Upon that, I clicked the button to report the error automatically.
The "titleblacklist-custom-hidden-char" in the error message could mean that the character 𫳘 was not accepted because it's from Unicode's CJK Unified Ideographs Extension E block on the Secondary Ideographic Plane (SIP). Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 10:47, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
P.S.: The error was also reported here. Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 11:16, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@LiliCharlie: Ahahaha. You start strong. I met that once in past 15 years. See here. I drawn a similar conclusion. Not much we can do. Yug (talk) 11:56, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@LiliCharlie and Yug: . I managed to move it. Not sure why; I am an admin at Commons, but that shouldn't make a difference. —Mahāgaja · talk 15:12, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mahāgaja: Wow, that's great, thank you so much. So it seems my reporting this wasn't to no avail (even if I was brazen enough to ignore the topic and concern of the original poster).
In the above discussion, Yug linked to another error report they got when they tried to rename File:Biáng-order complete.gif to File:𰻞-order.gif to meet the file naming conventions of the Stroke Order Project. Could you try that as well? (The Unicode character 𰻞 is much younger than the 𫳘 of this file.) Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 15:51, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@LiliCharlie: . That's done now, too. —Mahāgaja · talk 19:00, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, admins have the permission to override the title blacklist. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 23:49, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@LiliCharlie and Mahagaja: It's apparently a MediaWiki extension, which prevents some filenames, but can be overrode by administrators...
