This is a voiturette De Dion-Bouton "Populaire" 6 CV Type Q. While Populaires are easy to identify by their "crocodile" type bonnet, it is harder to address the exact model name. In this case, the museum display is useful. It mentions a 6 CV Type Q. So this vehicle has a tubular steel frame, and a single cylinder engine of 700 cc (b × h = 90 × 110 mm). It was very similar to the Type O, but added reverse gear.

It is definitely not a De Dion-Bouton Quadricycle, which was tricycle-derived, and had a smaller single cylinder mounted at the rear. It has a saddle in the rear for the driver, and an optional passenger seat or a cargo boot between the front wheels.

I adapted the categories accordingly, and suggest renaming this picture.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 15:51, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
