Year[edit]

The Delage Type CO.2 was built from 1923 to 1924. Not 1922. Date of registration at Mines: 3. February 1923. --Buch-t (talk) 16:22, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think that if it is clear that a mistake has been made it should be corrected but it must be shown that the change has been made and why. For example
file name: 1923 Delage CO2 4½ Litre dual-cowl tourer (21570932072).jpg
and on the file for description
"1922 1923 Delage CO2 4½ Litre dual-cowl tourer Holyrood House (— see talk page)"
What do you think? Too fussy? Eddaido (talk) 21:27, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I found the same mines date 3. February 1923 for the Type CO.2 at Delage.org: http://www.delage.org/home/delage/www/fiches_type_modles/delage_type_co2.pdf
I found more information. I hope that all of this are for the same car. Plate of Australia/Victoria: CO-200, the same car at Bonhams with chassis 12868, prewarcar with chassis 12868 and British plate BF 7348, our car with British plate ending 313.
I will moving to 1923 Delage CO2 4½ Litre dual-cowl tourer (21570932072).jpg. --Buch-t (talk) 08:38, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great work! PV des Mines is new to me. From what I understand its issue means the manufacturer may sell the cars. Is it possible this was a pre-production version? I've had dealings with the Dutchman who runs Pre War Car and I expect he would be hammered by his readers if he mis-described anything that looked like it once had two or more wheels and an engine! Even just a bit of steel that might once have been a front axle! Still working on a response to your question on talk Delage automobiles. Eddaido (talk) 09:00, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The dates of the PV des Mines can be found in detailed books about French cars. I know the dates for Renault, De Dion-Bouton and Delage.
Some more dates:
  • 01.03.1921 for GS series 1 chassis 8142
  • 20.04.1922 for GS series 2 chassis 8392
  • 03.02.1923 for CO.2 with chassis 10596
  • 02.08.1923 for DI with chassis 12226
  • 07.02.1924 for GL with chassis 13224
I am not sure, but perhaps the chassis-numbers for Delage are chronological. Then 12868 is between August 1923 and February 1924.
When you want to ask Prewarcar than I can wait with the moving of the file. --Buch-t (talk) 09:43, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
