Lack accuracy of the map[edit]

I can speak about Georgia that this map is very wrong, user:Yerevanci tried to show that Armenians lived in Abkhazia but instead shows Gali (by 25-50%?), Zugdidi and Poti areas settled by Armeanians that is false in any particular period of Armenian or Georgia history. Also what means less than 25%? 1 Armenian is also less than 25% so we must paint all map? The map needs changes in root before it will be so wide used in Wikipedia.--g. balaxaZe 18:23, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also map shows part of mountainous Adjara (how? when?), Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe and Gori populated 25-50 or less than 25% by Armenains what is once again false, before deportation of Muslim population from Samtkhe-Javakheti (during Russo-Ottoman wars and in Soviet time) Armenians were very small group there.--g. balaxaZe 18:30, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re-used in https://www.heise.de/tp/features/Beendet-die-Quarantaene-und-beginnt-einen-Krieg-4846921.html

  • First of all, what is the meaning of yellow coloring for less than 25%. i.e, 0% is also less than 25%. I think, it is the reason why all over the Turkey is colored yellow. But, I don't understand why they didn't color the rest of the map yellow, in this case.
  • This map is also inaccurate for some other regions of Turkey. For example, according to the map, more than 50% of the northern Adana, eastern Niğde and southern Kayseri regions were inhabited by Armenians in the 1900s. I know many historical Greek churches, schools and civic buildings that are 100 to several hundred years old, but I have not seen such an Armenian building in this region.

In conclusion, this map should not be used in Wikipedia articles unless it is supported by some legitimate scientific paper..--Yakamoz51 (talk) 13:19, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
