It is tricky to make a determination of a species just using a pohotograph, but I believe that this is not Bedotia geayi, but Bedotia madagascariensis. Most fish sold as Bedotia geayi are Bedotia madagascariensis. See this article: http://www.mapress.com/zootaxa/2007f/zt01520p018.pdf , the coloration and even the meristics (as far as I can tell from the photo, but rays in the anal fin seem to be countable), point in the direction of Bedotia madagascariensis. --Kyknos (talk) 15:58, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was labelled B. geayi, but it wouldn't be the first mislabelling ever found. :-) Stan Shebs (talk) 11:03, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Kyknos and therefore I've added the disputed taxonomy template to Bedotia geayi 1.jpg and Bedotia geayi 2.jpg. -- Tino (talk) 21:29, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
