Not Max Hamburger

That is not Max Hamburger in the picture. He was at Dachau not Buchenwald. And the chance of two famous men enslaved in the same picture is very remote.

Apparently, there are two famous people called Max Hamburger. en:Max Hamburger is about the one who went to Dachau (born 1897, died 1970); nl:Max Hamburger is about the one who went to Buchenwald (born 1920; still alive). All Jewish?

Description says "jewish slave laborers", but the description at the National Archives (http://arcweb.archives.gov/arc/action/ExternalIdSearch?id=535561) simply says:

"These are slave laborers in the Buchenwald concentration camp near Jena; many had died from malnutrition when U.S. troops of the 80th Division entered the camp. Germany, April 16, 1945"

The article on the camp says:

"Camp prisoners from all over Europe and Russia—Jews, non-Jewish Poles and Slovenes, religious and political prisoners, Roma and Sinti, Jehovah's Witnesses, criminals, homosexuals, and prisoners of war— worked primarily as forced labor in local armament factories."

So using the term Jewish slave labourers seems too specific - it should either be generalized to include other groups present or replaced with "slave labourers", unless there is specific information that all persons in the photo are Jewish. Thoughts? 87.113.0.82 01:10, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

  Ok... Though in der mittleren Reihe von unten makes no sense. There's four stacked rows of bunks, so what's the "middle row from the bottom"?? The third from the right in the 2nd row from the bottom is already identified as Elie Wiesel and looks older than 12 years anyway.
