Picture shows a E.V.C. hansom cab, built 1899-1906 by the de:Electric Vehicle Company, and it's successor, the Columbia Automobile Co. in Hartford CN. Further indication for this the mentioned name of (Henry G.) Morris, constructed it, together with Pedro G. Salom.

E.V.C. had for a short time the sole right to sell and operate electric cabs in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Boston.
