South Africa

Show regions?

Anyone with SVG-editing skills want to make a version of this that colors particular regions? For example, since UNESCO's data says that in Canada schools are closed in Ontario, New Brunswick and Quebec, those regions could be colored dark orange (indicating that schools in the entire area are closed) with the rest of the country grey. --Yair rand (留言) 20:37, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

What does gray represent?

Sdkb, honestly, I don't know. It could be both. I just used UNESCO's data, and they don't have the grey part in their legend. --betseg|g 23:42, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

The schools in Sweden are still open. Only universities and colleges have closed. Map depicting the most restrictive state

Since there are some voices that (country) did close their schools at (date), I have made another version of this map. My version shows the most restrictive state (i.e. which coutries closed their schools for at least one day anytime during pandemic). In contrary, this file is intended to show the current state. Show countries with former school closures

Similar to [4], why don't we show also former school closures. Otherwise, maybe soon, this file will become useless when there are no school closures any more. Remote learning

Good work Betseg on putting this together. Would it be possible to add a colour for countries where schools are closed to in-person teaching but are still teaching online? That applies to the UK at least and I assume other countries as well. Richard Nevell (留言) 13:34, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

@Richard Nevell: I already added that and I'm just using UNESCO's data on it. Countries of Kuwait, Turkey, Venezuela and the territory of Cayman Islands are marked as such on the map.
