"Public ban"[edit]

The "public ban" label seems extremely broad and inconsistent, at least in North America.

  • All of Canada (except Quebec and New Brunswick) are shown as "Public ban"; however, many places in Canada now explicitly allow drinking in public parks (e.g. Vancouver parks and beaches).
  • The USA is not labeled as "Public ban", but in fact the US most parts of the USA have very similar restrictions on alcohol consumption as most of Canada.

Any thoughts on how to make this labelling more consistent? To my mind, the "Public ban" category is just not particularly useful or informative on this chart. — Moxfyre (t|c) 03:41, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
