Dear Shyamal, after having read the Army ant article and specifically the "Morphology of the Queen" (para. 1.4), where it states that: The queens of army ants are unique in that they do not have wings, have an enlarged gaster size and an extended cylindrical abdomen., futhermore, the relevant citation states: ...Because queens are flightless and never leave their colony... I'm puzzled, and would like to ask you: Are you certain that this is a Dorylus Queen?
