In der DDR wurde ab dem 1. Januar 1974 das Nationalitätskennzeichen DDR vorgeschrieben. Vorher wurde auch dort das Zeichen D verwendet. Gründung der EWG war 1957. Die ::Bundesrepublik Deutschland verwendete in Schriftsachen übrigens neben BRD (bis 1976) viele weitere. Falsch ist es historisch also kaum und jeder versteht was gemeint ist. D oval border and correction

AFAIK the UN oval with BRD has never existed; this list does not say anything about it except the fact the DDR adopted its own oval in 1974; previously both West and East Germany used just D. I have also corrected the border between (West) Germany and Switzerland.--Carnby (トーク) 20:21, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Since two countries used the oval 'D' at the time of creation of the EGKS it's simply not non-ambiguous and unnecessarily confusing to use it in this graphic. I therefore change it again to BRD which was most often used to distinguish between East- and Westgermany aka DDR and BRD. --Rabenkind (トーク) 14:33, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

Sicily

Shouldtn't it be a tiny red piece on the island of Sicily also, if you follow the line between red an white in the italian flag further on to the Sicily island, or is that not done to include the site of the conference to be somewhat neutral ?
