Indian Kingdoms and Borders[编辑]

Unknown map source, India in 600 AD

I have 2 different source maps for the borders of India, circa 600 AD, and they both show major differences. The first map's source is listed, I don't remember my source for the 2nd map. Also, looking at the www.WorldHistory.com map of India in 586 AD, it is also different from these 2 maps. Which of these maps shows the correct borders for India in 600 AD? About spelling[编辑]

In the location of Estonia, it is written "Tchuds". However, it should be written "Estonians" (or alternately "Estonian tribes") , since there were Estonians tribes living there. "Tchuds" is probably taken from some Russian sources, since Russians called Estonians during middle-age "chuds". This should be included in next update. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.40.10.179 (talk) 07:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[回复]

I got all of my information on Europe from the Euratlas map of Europe in 600 AD (http://www.euratlas.com/history_europe/europe_map_0600.html). If you have another source to back up your claim, please post it so I can use it as a reference to why my map is different than my main source. Otherwise, I cannot make any changes unless there is some proof of the claims that is innaccurate. Thomas Lessman (talk) 20:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[回复]

magyar[编辑]

Hello!

In the Kyevian cronicle the khazars was called Мочар(IPA: motʃɒr) without significant place. What codex tell about the magyars? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.114.93 (talk) 18:04, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[回复]

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are asking or how to answer you. Please restate the question. Thomas Lessman (talk) 18:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[回复]

Estoni?[编辑]

I'm pretty sure that the territories generously assigned to 'Estoni' were mostly inhabited by Baltic people already. Which makes me ask how precise are the other parts of this map.

You can research any of the information on my maps, this one included. I have specific sources for all the info I present, and for Europe I used the Euratlas maps available at http://www.euratlas.com/history_europe/europe_map_0600.html.
If you have sources that show my maps are wrong, then please show me so I can correct them. I can't fix ANY possible errors without some kind of source to back up the claim. Respectfully, Thomas Lessman (talk) 15:49, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[回复]

Divisions of England[编辑]

I am wondering why England is so carefully and neatly divided into a large number of sub-regions, while vast swaths of the rest of the map are simply labled "Arabian tribes" or "Aquitaine" etc. Is this map still in progress? -69.127.18.205 (talk) 16:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[回复]

There is more information on England in this map because the English left more information about their lands than Arabian tribes did. Each division was it's own kingdom, whereas Aquitaine wasn't so divided. I used the source maps from "Early British Kingdoms", http://www.earlybritishkingdoms.com/, as reference for Britain. If you have a source that shows more details about the Arabs, or Aquitaine, or wherever during this time, please send it to me and I can add more information.
