The diagram of the front end and its alternate show that it doesn't matter which order the R and switch are, as long as they're in series so it acts as a switched current source into the integrator's virtual ground node. The switch path to ground is irrelevant, even if in practice you might want it to reduce some noise coupling back to the reference supply. The diagram needs to be simplified, eliminating the irrelevant alternate and the irrelevant switch path, to make it easier to understand. Dicklyon (talk) 19:16, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
