Rename request

At this point in time I have declined the rename of this file. It is specifically labelled "Serbia stub" indicating its basic purpose, so renaming it to something else for some other purpose would be partially misleading, especially as it has wide use at several sites. The rename of the file should be discussed at bsWP as a minimum, and a fuller explanation of why the file should be renamed. If its basic purpose is as a stub holder, and the image is wrong, then get the discussion going to update the image, not rename it.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:31, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

"flag map" is a purpose name, so your objection to that part is moot. The date of use is also necessary, because it is time wikipedia and commons start reflecting the real world, and not the dream world. Serbia has not politically or militarily governed Kosovo since 1999. However, since Kosovo's officially declaration of independence wasn't until 2008, that is a reasonable time of use stamp. This flag was adopted in 2004, when Serbia and Montenegro went their own ways. See historical flag maps as a precedent for time of use stamps.
