People, pleas, this is definitely not a fox terrier. Andrea 85.216.134.44 07:37, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  1. The article didn't say that it is. I adjusted the text some to make it clearer.
  2. There's no way to know that it isn't. Look how many registered dogs bear little resemblance to the breed-standard dog.

  1. The article didn't say it, but the title of the article is Fox Terrier...
  2. This dog has nothing in common with a smoot fox terrier (neither like a little bit different from the standard). And I wrote it here because many people used it on wikipedia as a photo of smooth fox terrier ;-). This dog looks more like a taller parson russel terrier with a little bit too wide cheeks. To see the right type of smooth fox terrier see here. And if a registered dog looks different as he schould, he is not a right representative of his breed and a picture of such a dog has a place in wikipedia only to demonstrate resemblance to the standard, but not as a representative of a breed. People could become a wrong image of the breed. Andrea (sorry for my poor english) 85.216.134.44  08:56, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, you made a good point and after thinking about it I both modified the caption & moved the photo elsewhere, as you might have noticed by now. :-) Elf | Talk 17:30, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion was copied from en.wikipedia

  1. This is a Danish/Swedish farmdog (in Swedish: Dansk/Svensk gårdshund) People always get them mixed up whith smooth foxterriers. Me myself is a owner of a smooth foxterrier, and not even a poorly breed one would look like this. It has non of the smooth foxterrier features. It's defently a Danish/Swedish farmdog. here's a pic of a danish/swedish farmdog. //Maria from Sweden -- 81.235.194.235 20:52, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since the photographer is Dutch, this dog can also be a Boerenfox like in the following photo:
