Photo is a montage[edit]

This photo is definitely a patchwork of several separate photos. The helicopter and its sling load are probably around 2 tons. Keeping this mass stationary in the air generates a lot of downwash, which would definitely be visible on the thick black smoke. Also, it’s a big machine, with a long cable, and it looks very small in this close-up image. Finally, using a firefighting helicopter in a city is highly unusual and I could find no trace anywhere of this event. For this reason, I am changing the description to reflect that it is a montage. --Ariadacapo (talk) 07:10, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per flickr comments of local people this photo published was by the author in a local newspapers ("Esta foi a melhor foto de capa publicada nos jornais local [sic] é 10"). Also this author published several of his photos of current events and news in his flickr page. You have merely speculation and zero proofs of what you beleive, so until you find any proof of manipulation iám changing the description to the original. This same author, Alexandro Auler, is not someone random from the Internet but a0photojournalist was in Syria and that made a documentary about Kobane in the Syrian civil war documentary that won eight prizes, incluiding 2 Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards. Also using helicopters in that way is not so unusual, like in Braga, Portugal in a medium urban area of that city, an Eurocopter AS350 using a swimming pool to reload his bucket several times to fight a nearby fire, even when the downwash is big. Tm (talk) 13:22, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I still believe that this is a photomontage. I have put a tag in the description to indicate that there is disagreement about this. --Ariadacapo (talk) 14:25, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
