I am playing around with changing image versions. If this is frowned upon, please inform!

And if it is frowned upon, I know it will be for a good reason, I'm sure it is because of consequences that I cannot see. I think such overlays of versions of an image has a purpose in education (I mostly work in Wikiversity). See for example Wikipedia's discussion at Talk:Object_to_Be_Destroyed

I will now proceed to interchange the two versions of this file and see if it shows up on Wikipedia. And I emphasize, if this does any harm, I am unaware of it.--Guy vandegrift (talk) 00:26, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK, a series of edits to the history helped me understand that reverting edits leaves images intact. I'm still not sure how this works, but will stop in order to give people time to intervene.--Guy vandegrift (talk) 00:54, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
