Are we sure this is an 'R' version? I am under the impression R versions all make extensive use of slat armor

Yes, this the D9R. Originally, the D9R that arrived to Israel in 2003 had no slat armor. Slat armor was added only after 2005-2006. Today almost all the D9R and D9T bulldozers of the IDF have a slat armor. MathKnight ✡ (Talk) 12:52, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
