@Alexrk and Alexrk2: What is the reason to prefer the PNG-Versions?

• Is the font not displayed correctly? (Maybe use a open source font: meta:SVG_fonts)
• Is the picture above the headline not dispayed correclty? (Maybe change it in the SVG)

@JoKalliauer: There are indeed not many differences, mainly on low resolution the text get very disordered. I replaced mainly the user template User:Alexrk2/Vorlage:UsePNGinstead. So maybe there is a proper template as "technically replaced", maybe Template:Archival version for SVG, which seems currently only for PNG. -- User: Perhelion 20:07, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Perhelion Thanks for your answer, and the link to Template:Archival version (I didn't know that template, maybe there are already too many templates out there.)

Template:Archival_version is for minimising the download-size for the wikipedia-reader. I won't expect a big difference between the size of svg2png and png2png. I would expect first one sharper and therefore I guess that it (svg2png) is also in most cases unsignificantly smaller.

I would use {{Bitmap version available}}. This {{Superseded}}-Template look in this case similar to the Template on File:Vergleich_zwischen_Manga_und_Foto_(nur_Zeichnung)_Workaround.svg.

An older Version of this file (2013- Dez 2017) had German and English included over each other [1] therefore it was unreadable/unuseable, but it wasn't a rsvg-bug, so User:Alexrk2/Vorlage:UsePNGinstead was in my option correct, but {{Technically replaced}} adds a rsvg-bug-category. Maybe the template needs a no-rsvg-bug-option for other technical replacements.

The actual version has a proper language-switch, therefore there is no need for a replacement, but still the Logo above the headline (San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge) looks wrong, but this is no librsvg-bug. (For the difference see left upper corner of the pictures on Template:Other_versions/SFOBB_map).

Due to the change to the language-switch I would use {{Bitmap version available}}.
