[edit]

According to the copyright owner (100%) Carl Fischer, they still own 100% of the copyright (with permission for the U.S. Air Force to have unlimited free use). [Information last updated 3/17/2021] "The U.S. Air Force" Words & Music by Robert Crawford Copyright (c) 1939, 1942, 1951 by Carl Fischer, Inc. Copyrights renewed. All Rights assigned to Carl Fischer, LLC. International copyright secured. All rights reserved. Used with permission. (Copyright Notice). Although the composer Robert MacArthur Crawford, later became a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp (later the U.S. Air Force), raising to the rank of Lt. Col., at the time of the composition in 1939 as a contest entry, he was not in the U.S. military, and his work was not "for hire" by a government employee; therefore, several of the reasons why the piece is listed as in the Public Domain appear to be incorrect. 2603:8001:C401:8A4F:6C3F:1F86:877F:8E08 21:25, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
