Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne

English: Gallowgate is a street in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Relatively short, it runs from the southern end of Barrack Road (at the junction with Strawberry Place to the east) 54°58′26″N 1°37′19″W / 54.97399°N 1.622044°W / 54.97399; -1.622044 curving around to the east to end at the west end of Blackett Street 54°58′27″N 1°37′03″W / 54.974159°N 1.617455°W / 54.974159; -1.617455 (at the junction with Percy Street to the north, Newgate Street to the south). The street also gives its name to the Gallowgate End of the St James' Park football stadium, whose south west corner is at the junction of Barrack Road and Strawberry Place (Strawberry Place being the road that runs along the back of the stand).

As it runs from Barrack Road to Blackett Street, Gallowgate features the following buildings/landmarks and junctions with other streets:
