Hieronymus Bock (* 1498, † 21. Februar 1554 in Hornbach (Pfalz))

Original edition of the Kreutterbuch (Herbal book) by Hieronymus Bock, published by Johan Rihel in Strasbourg, 1577 or 1580. This work is the first or second edited and extended edition by M. Sebezius with the well known woodcuts, more than 570 old coloured illustrations of plants and figures complete this book. Many initials decorate the text; there furthermore exists a bbok plate by Harry Schraemli.
