Description
English: Generaloberstabsarzt Dr. med. Ingo Patschke (the German army surgeon general) visiting the "Viper Pit" medical training facility at Baumholder, Germany, Dec. 9, 2014. The "Viper Pit," run by 421st Medical Battalion (Multifunctional), facilitates multiple medical training courses with a primary focus of preparing Soldiers to preserve life of traumatic injuries sustained during Unified Land Operations. The Viper Pit is open to both U.S. and partner countries. Training equipment was provided by Training Support Activity Europe/ Training Support Center Kaiserslautern /Baumholder
