Das Biometar wurde zunächst für Mittelformatkameras entworfen, bekam dann aber auch als Kleinbild-Version einen ausgezeichneten Ruf. Dem "Handbuch der Fototechnik" von G. Teicher (Halle 1963) entnehme ich folgende Beschreibung: Eine weitere Variante des Gauß-Typs - neben dem Biotar - stellt das vom VEB Carl Zeiss Jena entwickelte (...) Biometar dar. Die zerstreuende Kittlinse hinter der Blende (wie beim Biotar) wurde durch einen einfachen zerstreuenden Meniskus ersetzt. Es ist dadurch und durch die Verwendung neuer Gläser gelungen, die astigmatische Korrektion so auszuführen, daß es frei von Astigmatismus und für einen Bildwinkel bis 50° auch frei von Bildfeldkrümmung ist. Der hohe Korrektionszustand der Farbkoma garantiert eine betonte Schärfe des Bildfeldes bis zu den Rändern.. Bei meinem 80er Biometar findet man auch den Linsenschnitt, der sicherlich nur geringfügig von diesem 120er (produziert 1961) abweicht. |
