Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen, das eine „redende" Figur mit dem Zeichen der seit dem Jahre 1504 bestehenden württembergischen Herrschaft über Eberstadt verbindet, wurde 1628 am Kirchturm in Stein angebracht. Seine Form setzte sich gegen Darstellungen des 18., 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts durch, die einen halben oder auch ganzen Eber ohne die württembergische Hirschstange aufwiesen. Das Recht zur Führung des Wappens in den zuerst im Jahre 1938 festgelegten Farben sowie der daraus abgeleiteten Flagge wurde vom Innenministerium am 25. März 1963 verliehen.
