Object history
Deutsch: Hardt wurde erst im Jahre 1839 infolge der Trennung von Mariazell selbstständige Gemeinde. In den 1930er Jahren gebrauchte die Gemeinde ein Schultheißenamtssiegel, das in einem von zwei Palmzweigen umgebenen Schild zwei Tannen auf ebenem Boden zeigt. Da eine Tingierung nicht bekannt ist, kann von einem vollgültigen Wappen jedoch nicht gesprochen werden. Erst seit 1953 führt Hardt das heutige Wappen. Die beiden Tannen machen es redend (Hard = Wald). Wohl zur Unterscheidung von anderen Tannenwappen wurde das Wappenschildchen hinzugefügt. Es handelt sich um das Wappen der Herren von Falkenstein. Sie hatten im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert die Herrschaft Schramberg inne, zu der Hardt bis 1806 gehörte. Allerdings ist hier fälschlich das Wappen der jüngeren Linie von Falkenstein zu Rimsingen (ab 17. Jahrhundert) verwendet worden.
